Why is BUK The Artist?
I believe life is a story and God is the Author. But somewhere along the way, most of us forget who we are. We begin living through labels, expectations, fear, survival, false identities (Lie-dentities) even religion. We spend so much time becoming who the world tells us to be that we lose sight of who we were created to be. As a result, we live beneath our design. Beneath our purpose. Beneath default. That's the problem I care about. I'm not trying to be the hero of the story. I create the soundtrack.
Through music, visuals and conversations, I want to help people slow down, reflect and remember who they truly are. Because when identity becomes clear, purpose follows. And if my work can help someone see themselves more clearly and see God more clearly… then I’ve done my job.
The Studio & the Craft
As the founder of Artstillbeats Studio (Ibadan, 2015), BUK has consistently championed sonic innovation and artist development. His engineering expertise has elevated projects such as Damola Davis & L.A.X’s “Don Dada”, lauded by 4x Grammy-winning producer Anthony Kilhoffer as “fire” for its clarity and depth.
Today, operating from the UK, BUK continues to offer global-standard production, mixing, and mastering services, including Dolby Atmos immersive sound, to artists, brands, and creators. His approach is meticulous and visionary; each track is treated as a living work of art.
BUK’s catalogue reflects a rare ability to balance spiritual substance with cultural relevance. His latest single, “LHFG (Lovin’ IT)”, embodies the principles of Love, Hope, Faith and Grace, a manifesto of purpose, resilience and identity.
From his Outlier EP to collaborations and working on music with international artists such as L.A.X, Zlatan, Zinoleesky, LC Beatz, Lekan Salamii and Tobi Toun, BUK’s music speaks to both the soul and the streets, offering listeners a blend of authentic storytelling and world-class sound design
